Welcome

Our church is a place where all are invited in to discover who God is and the purpose He has for each of us in His story. Here is how The Holy Spirit explained our beginnings as humans through the inspired words of the Apostle Luke: “And He made from one man(Adam) every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find Him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us,” (Acts 17:26-27). We at Ford River Community Chapel stand ready to help you get to know the God of the Bible, discover the gifts He has given you, and help you explore how it seems God intends you to use your gifts for His glory and your fulfillment.

If you've been following God your entire life, you're welcome here. If you're new to faith, you're welcome here. If you're not really sure you believe in God at all, you're welcome here. No matter where you are on the road of faith, we want to walk  alongside you as you go. Our aim is to help you finish the race of life strongly. The Bible says, “But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.” (Proverbs 4:18) The righteous are those who have repented and trusted Christ to be their savior and Lord(2 Cor 5:20-21). The verse above depicts  the span of our lives as a “path”. This path is growing brighter the nearer we believers come to the end(full day). We are admonished to finish strongly. When you join us here at Ford River Community Chapel you'll be surrounded by those who are purposefully living to finish their lives well – We Can Help You complete your life's race victoriously!

Listen to Sermons

We make our sermons available weekly for your edification. The Bible says, “But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us? So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:16-17) The key to this passage is the word “obeyed”. It's not enough to “just” hear the word of God; one must obey what it says. The Greek word translated into the English word “obeyed” means to hear under authority, thus, to be obedient to it. When you hear the word of God in an obedient way it “causes” FAITH. You can hear it by reading it, you can hear it by studying it, you can hear it by memorizing it, or you can hear it by listening to it. If you obey - you'll increase your faith!

None of the work we do at our church would be possible without God moving the hearts of people to give. One of the visions God has given us as a church is to more fully utilize the property He's provided for us to spread the gospel. The Bible says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”(Romans 1:16). So, the great mystery is that God has invested His saving power, for changing lives from spiritual death to spiritual life, in the message of the gospel. These are not just words that need to be preached, but they are to be accompanied by prayer.
We're praying that God would soften the hearts of those we share this message with, and that He would then draw them to a saving faith. We are in the process of clearing land and building a band shell to hold outdoor events that will attract many
in our community to come hear the life changing message of the gospel. One such event is scheduled to be held in August of 2020. Will you join us in praying for this and other events? And, will you prayerfully consider investing in our efforts here at Ford River Community Chapel? On behalf of the lives that will be changed through our joint efforts – Thank You!
